Report

Researchers from the Unlocking IP project are working towards producing a Report on the state of public rights in Australian copyright (the 'public domain' in the broad sense), to be completed in 2009.

The submissions below are early instalments in this work.

The submission to the Innovation Review is in the form of an Issues Paper. It presents over 100 questions that would be valuable for a law reform review of Australia's public domain to address, and it suggests why these questions are important to Australia's innovative capacity. The Submission does not propose particular reforms. We intend to publish a subsequent Report to state our views on what reforms are desirable.
